Marcella Marcella was born from a little bit of magic, a love of storytelling, and if you ask me, pure destiny. Long before I ever dreamed I'd write a children's book about a girl searching for her umbrella, I was that little girl myself.

In old family photos, I'm beaming beneath my favorite clear bubble umbrella… a Shed Rain treasure! I had no idea then that someday I'd marry the man whose family made it, or that a decade later I'd create a story filled with whimsical rainy-day adventures and characters who carry umbrellas inspired by those same childhood memories.

Marcella Marcella, Where's Your Umbrella? is a celebration of imagination, creative play, and the simple joy of reading with little ones. Every character in the book comes to life through coordinating kids' umbrellas made by Shed Rain—linking my childhood, my family, and this story in the sweetest full-circle moment.
